Finally... pictures of my OWN JET!
Well, here's a rare sight - photos of my own jet. I'm usually posting photos of everyone else's stuff, but my brother and I finally got around to finishing our P-70 powered Tamjets F-16. We took it out to the field and Dave Presta put two trouble free flights on it this evening. Thanks, Dave!
Thanks to Tam and Jimmy Mongiello for their help too!

Sharp looking jet Chris. Congrats! BTW, I've been wondering this about the F-16s and maybe you can answer this question. What is that strange emblem or diagram on the top of the fuse? This is on all F-16s for the most part and I don't know why.

Thanks Andy. It's the in-flight fueling port on the full-scale, and I believe it's got markers for judging distance for the boom operator who's supplying the fuel.

Congrats bro, you and your brother did a great job putting it together. Now get that buddy box hook up going so you guy's can enjoy it too.
Also good choice on the P-70, I think thats the best combo for this baby. Thanks for letting me do the honors.

Dave

Chris -
Is the antenna inside the fuse - or did you remove it in Photoshop??

Yup, it's in a plastic tube down the right side of the airplane. All the wiring from the backside of the airplane is on the left hand side of the fuse.

If he let me borrow it for the weeken. I can take a day flying...Only if the landing gear mount are double up with carbon fiber. I still doing testing on the gear.

Hey Chris,,congrats..I got one just like it but am overseas and won't be home till 2008 to get started on it..One thing I was wondering. I see in the pics that you have a pitot tube out the nose of the plane..Did you install that yourself? Mine doesn't have one and if you did install what did you use?? Thanks...Mike

Mike, the next step is putting in an RCATS telemetry system to collect flight data. That is a working (not yet) pitot tube from RCATS.

and more specifically for the pitot: http://www.rcatsystems.com/cube/inde...d&productId=11
