I have the Weatronic 10-20 in 2 of my planes. I have not had any problems, in fact some range issues were solved because of the Weatronic unit. You can't beat the set up either. Just turn on your laptop and your planes servos are all right there in front of you. Setting up your plane could not be any easier.
After you add up the mutiple recievers, regulators, matchboxes, amplifiers and filters you are spending much less with the Weatronic unit than if you were to buy everything seperately. Besides it would take alot of Matchboxes to have control over 20+ servos.

.....................meaning?
Intersting to see Mick Burrel's post on the JMA site in response to the post to which I refer. He came to the same conclusion. Mick, like me , has no commercial allegiance, just wants the best arrangement. Read his post !

Hi guys, Let me just try and clarify some things on this issue.
I was tempted at first not to chime in, but have had a few days away from it and decided I should say my piece.
I fully understand why Slick wrote this post and have no animosity towards him whatsoever. At the end of the day he was looking at making a purchase for a high end piece of equipment that would ultimately control a sizeable investment of a model aircraft. As well as posting here he has done the right thing and asked what he considered to be well respected people within the model trade of their experiences or opinions on the Weatronic receivers.... Now this is where it starts to get complicated. The person whom he approached has absolutely no experience with the Weatronic receivers. All he did was feed back to Slick a "Story" that he was told that related to somebody apparently crashing multiple models due to faults within the Weatronic receivers he was using. This is made even more complicated by the fact that the retailers that Slick approached for assistance do not sell Weatronic equipment. In fact quite the opposite, they sell the "competitive" electronic set up to Weatronic...... Now it doesn’t take too much on an Einstein to work out what is happening here does it??
The well respected jet flyer in question who was reported to have lost models to Weatronic was myself. The facts are that yes I did lose my Comp-arf Lightning at the beginning of the season to a total lock out. The Weatronic unit fitted to the model was 5 flights old at the time and had performed faultlessly. Now this is where it gets a little embarrassing as at the time of the crash I did not have the Sd card fitted so it became impossible to determine the exact cause. All I knew at the time was that the receiver seemed to be working fine after the crash. I returned the unit back to Wea and they could find not a fault either. To cut a long story short... I had no idea what caused it, until a few weeks later when flying my Airworld Panther,( Which is controlled by Powerbox Systems products ) which had flown dozens of times previously with no issues locked out. With some Tx aerobatics ( Fly fishing as we lovingly refer to it ) I managed to get control of the model again and land safely. It turns out to be a fault with either my TX or the TX module. As yet I have not found which, but a club member with exactly the same module has similar problems and has lost a model due to this intermittent fault, so my suspicion lies with this piece of equipment.
Sorry to have waffled on so much but I did really want to set the record straight once and for all. I think it is so much better straight from the horses mouth rather than a series of Chinese whispers that seem to be all too common place within this hobby. These situations seem all to apparent sometimes within this trade. I try my hardest when people ask my opinions on a product to give them feedback based on real life experiences, not hearsay. I also try my hardest not to let commercial interest bias my opinions, and especially the advice that I give. In a perfect world my store would sell every single RC product out there, but that's never going to happen. I still however respect the fact that there are companies out there selling products that mine doesn’t that are great products. I myself fly products that we don’t sell, and do not see the need to run them down when a customer asks just because we don’t sell them. I just wish other people/retailers could extend the same decency.

Hi Dave
Sorry not to have answered your meaning...... reply.
The article states that JR plus a Weatronix rx is all near bullet proof. Well being a Futaba Flier i had to disagree with the JR bit.
I have a Weatronix rx and it is shortly going in my AD Rafale. Current it is getting " burned in" in one of my other planes. And yes i think it is an incredible bit of kit.
