Default DS3301 or DS168

For the rudders on the Velox. I've seen conflicting opinions. What's the main diff?

Well, I don't have the answer on which is better but I used the 168's with those nifty mounts from Todd... They fit and work great for me...

DS168 is about 1/2 the width give or take. I would use it only if I needed the narrow width. In my experience those crazy narrow servos have weaker gears but maybe the 168 is different, I don't know.

I have used the DS3301 on several occasions and I like it a lot. I think it is spec'd on the BobCat for rudder.

Actually.... The DS168 has a slightly more durable gear train than the 3301 but, both good servos.
Cant go wrong with either for this application, basically even on torque and I have had good success with both on rudders. the 168, due to the metal gear train will handle the the occasional bump a bit better but, still a nylon drive gear off the motor.
Flip a coin

Thanks Todd, now if you just knew the answer about the gear!
