Default Introducing the Metal Machine!!

Started playing with a metal CNC a friend loaned me several months ago, and I never got around to turning it on.

Anyway, after a few hours, I'm getting the hang of it, and it's fun!

Attached are spars to an airplane I'm building.

Looks like fun Sean,
I bet you could make a real nice mounting tray with that and then even have some miniature diamond plate look to it.

Sean, I thought of something else you may want to try. Not sure if you can get that setup to work for rounded metals but what about having the name vertically down a landing gear strut? That may look cool on a sport jet if it would work.

Nice Sean, let us see them when they are done and you are installing them. Looks like those will be good for about 20 G's!

Paul you have a real nice machine. To bad it is used to collect dust! One thing about it, your garage will never blow away ! [8D]

Yep, no doubt about it - a stagnant mill is a dust magnet.

Well, it's not like I'm sittin around.... I made these struts yesterday for my Boomerang. Got tired of the wire legs, now we have some beef. Maybe I'll call em Hillaries.

Made a trailing link nose strut by shrinking a main leg by 20%. Whew! Let's go fly.
