HI all, just got a new travel trailer for all the Jet Rallies I go to,that makes three trailers now.

PS, the first two black trailers track like they are on rails, never a sway, question for those who have experiance with hauling a 19 footer, do you think i need a Eqalizer hitch.

I'd say so...protects your investment. There is a lot of side area and mass back there. I've seen some nasty accidents where trailers got unstable and rolled the tow vehicle...

pete alot of it depends on the tow vehicle - with your van it would be the best thing you could since it has a low gvw#- also be sure to have electric brakes working and not just the tongue activated brakes - you will then be fine .
also it never hurts to add a auxillery transmission cooler - again it really helps on the smaller tow vehicles

Hey Pete,

Just do yourself a favor and buy a weight distribution (Equalizer) hitch. I pulled my 24' TT all over the place this summer (saw you twice at Winamac) and i wouldn't leave the driveway without it hooked to that hitch and i'm pulling my TT with a 1/2 ton Chevy truck. I have a sway bar that i use if it is really windy but my TT goes down the road straight as an arrow and pulls pretty well. So the sway bar you could do without but does help in windy conditions. The weight distribution hitch is a MUST!! Send me a PM if you have any questions!
