I am looking to possibly instal some of the equipment usually found under the canopy area to the top of the fuselage - behind the canopy and forward of the main hatch.
The 'bump' which runs between the fin and canopy would hide the equipment during flight etc but when the main canopy was removed everything would be accessible without removing the canopy.
I plan to mount the air fill, air pressure gauge, receiver on/off switch, receiver battery charge point, turbine ECU battery charge point and turbine master on/off switch.
The method would be to remove an area of fuselage (fiberglass) and replace with a slightly recessed tray which could be removable but would fix to keep some of the rigidity in the airframe - can anyone see any potential flaws in this?

First off, which A-4 is this?
Secondly, I think the one main flaw I can think of is by moving all of this stuff back over the CG your going to end up needing to add nose weight to balance the airplane. I know these things might not seem as weighing much but this may be the case with the Tams A-4. If you are using a P-60 less weight is needed, but if your using a P-70 then you will need more weight up front.

Ian, it's going to be a P60 but I can see your point regards the C of G, its only running one receiver pack as well so the nose will not be a heavy as it could be.
