How do you prep wood for paint?

You could mix up some finish epoxy or 30 min and thin it with alchol (maybe 50 to 75%). After it dries scuff it with a scotch brite pad and you're read for paint.
Or just layer it with primer and sand between coats.

I use fiberglass cloth and west systems expoxy to prep surfaces for paint. Might get by on very small pieces without the cloth but larger pieces will crack open over time.

SO HOW DO I APPLY THE CLOTH? EPOXY, FIBERGLASS AND DO I THIN THE GLASS OR EPOXY. I DONOT WANT TO ADD TO MUCH WEIGHT .IF I GET DETAIL INSTRUCTIONS I CAN DO THIS. I WAS A BODY TECH . THAT WAS MY JOB FOR 30 YEARS.
