RE: Pleated Paper Filter UAT Parts???
Kevin,
Here you go. I prefer my homemade pleated filter over the conventional UAT. No need to go through an elaborate purging process to eliminate air bubbles trapped by the sock. Just fill and go.
I use the 2" Fram filter in my UAT's and use the 1" filter to make filter clunks for the fuel tank. I've used both the rectangular and round 4 oz. nalgene bottles. Fittings from Tamjets or Dreamworks. Put a piece of tygon that goes to the bottom of the bottle on your fill line so that you can also drain it completely. Do a RCU search for additional information.

Here's how I did it: First you remove the rubber piece from the end of the filter. Then find a wheel collar with i.d. just big enough to fit over the brass tubing. Solder the wheel collar about 1/4" from the end of the brass tube. Grind down the o.d. of the wheel collar until you get an interference fit into the hole on the end of the filter. A slight taper helps.
Force the wheel collar into the end of the filter and use JB Weld to make a fillet around it, like in the picture Mark posted. Make sure the filter and tube are straight and set it aside to cure.
