How I spent my Thursday (new layup!!)
Spent the day laying up an airplane. My buddy Roger came over and helped, which is good, cause normally the hoser is out on his sailboat.
As you can see, we pulled a vacuum, which is neat, first time I've done this on a fuse. Just do a regular layup, put some painters drop cloth on it that has been "woodpeckered" and then some paper towels. Then put another painters drop cloth all the way around with some caulk to seal it.

Welcome to the world of vacuum bagging of complex shapes.
Now try vacuum infusion - the layup will be even lighter with a higher Reinforcement:Resin ratio (you use less resin in the laminate. - Basically you lay in the reinforcement, instal the bagging material and a transfer medium (I use shade cloth - cheap and works well), draw a vacuum (make sure there are no air leaks anywhere) then while the vacuum is drawn, introduce the resin. It's a lot less mess and quicker once you have it set up.
The best bit - even more time for those bud's and less mess on the hands
