Hi all and Merry Christmas!!
Still waiting for santa to deliver my Bommer Intro. He must have got lost on the way

Someone with more experience than me may be able to answer this. When using a 2.4gig system, should you simply be using standard extension leads for the servos, or can some benifit be gained from an amplified extension, such as http://electrodynam.com/rc/conn/index.shtml#ext ???
Thanks,
Greg

I used JR heavy duty extensions on mine,no problem.I might use Electrodynamics buffer extensions on my next project requiring extension over 24 inches. Can't hurt. All their products that I have used are top notch.

Amplified extensions are unneccessary in 2.4 installations. You can probably go to the Horizon site and still find the facts on this...there used to be a video that specifically discussed the amplified extensions. I think there are even occasions where they cause problems. So far I have done 2.4 installs with leads up to 48" and never used amplifiers...Gary

Below is info from one of my previous posts (http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_66...tm.htm#6642304)
I was using the spektrum 2.4 module and receiver.
Sorry about your difficulties Buck. Do not use amplifiers with Spektrum! The following is from Horizon's website:
Q: When using long servo leads and/or Y-harnesses, should I use amplifiers, chokes or other filters?
A: No. Spektrum’s 2.4GHz system is immune to interference caused by long servo leads and there is no need to add filters. In fact, some types of amplified Y-harnesses won’t operate with the Spektrum system.

We have leads up to probably 9 feet long in the MIBO A-10 Warthog using the JR Spektrum AR9000 without any problem. I actually believe there is an identifiable quicker response time from stick input to hog action!
