Attached is a pic that I pulled from a 1997 issue of Scale RC that featured an article done by Mike Cherry on gear door sequencing as done on his competition Avonds F-15.
Looking at that article and viewing the setup shows how things change rapidly. With todays new door sequencers, it makes Mike's system sort of obsolete. Although with the new style regulated Robart retract valves, it could still be a viable alternative.
According to Mike, it was a very reliable system.

Hi Countryboy,
I guess you meant to say OBSOLETE instead of ABSOLUTE !
The system I showed back in '97 worked fine, and still does, for those that don't want to use the latest (ie:more $$$) electronic sequencing gadgets etc - and for those modellers that can build and set-up a properly engineered door and gear sequencing system with simple and low-cost gear!
.. and by the way, I'm still using it!

Thank's for the heads up on the wrong terminology. Must of had "Absolute" total brain fart.
May come from testing to many intermittent problem (MAP) Manifold Absolute Pressure sensors. At any rate, I saved that article figuring that it may be useful some day. With the newer style Robart regulated valves, the retract & door sequence should be even easier to set up. My plan is to use the system you developed on my own Avonds F-15.
