Chris?
Which struts do you have?

I can tell you about Gen 3 spring additions but have not worked with gen 4...yet.

Gen 4, Beotecs. I am not sure if they differ from the others or not. I started working on disassembling them but I was scarring up the collar and I wanted to make sure that there is no secret way to do it more efficiently.

Chris all the G3 & G4main cylinders are the same size.
The G4 nose cylinder is larger than the G3...the same size as the mains.
I do not have the new Beotecs in my hog so not sure about the spring strengths but I would bet that are, like the previous ones, for a +/- 50 lb plane?

I haven't weighed it yet but I really didn't get too carried away adding anything heavy. But even with No fuel she squats pretty good. Then when I add fuel the mains go low rider on me then when i throttle up it wants to sink the nose. So i have to do something about it. I have those springs you sent me. Is there any diagrams or info on taking the struts apart? And how much oil do you add?

Chris regarding oilrefer back to Stan's Post # 620.......
As to the nose strut sinking on throttle up that is very normal and desirable.
It will raise as soon as you get ground speed....if it doesn't you are nose heavy.
The nose wheel has very little traction with the CG at 165mm....that why we recommend a gyro on the rudders & nose for t/o.

..............................WOW!
I am using the same unit for my A10 but it isnt a MIBO but a little smaller twin 90mm edf. I first seen these planes in a magazine and since i live in Indiana i thought no better than to do this scheme.

Who did the graphics? Absolutely fantastic Steven! Are these builds staying in Europe or will they be seen here in the states??????

To bad the unit is on the govt's cut list and will be giving up the A-10's in short time.[&o][&o][&o]

the paint masks and the decals are made by Ralle " Tailor made Decals"

Looked into Tailor Made briefly but the cost was to high for my budget. I think Taylor made is the tops for transfers and stencils and the price reflects that. Great job and i truly admire your handy work on these two hogs.
I look forward to the final finish photos when they are done.

Hi Heraldo
Simply because I have two of them !!!!
I'm still hesitating about the paint scheme of the second one. But something is sure , it will be heavy weathered !
I will try to build a very big one , scratch-build ( because all the 4m A10 of Mibo are already sold out ).
This A10 is such a pleasure that is't a pain to sell it....

That piece is the vertical web for the aluminum wing tube.

It goes inside the wing tube to provide more support.

It must go in and be glued in the vertical direction, centered within the tube.

I got mine jigged up and then scuffed the tube, prepped with alcohol and aeropoxied it in along the top and bottom.

Guys.. last weekend i have one turbine failure after full flap and open langing gear.. a few minutes before landing..
Ofcourse when i noticed that i was scared.. but one p160 can carry the A10 with full flap, all weapons.. with 100% of power... the landing was perfect..
I didn't do that, but as the jet is very slow and with 100% in one side.. you will need some rudder .. is not big deal..
I recommended if someone have a turbine failure don't use full flap just half.. i didn't try.. but i think will be better..

The worst part is the seconds that you are with one turbine and didn't know.. i always go with half power with full flaps and gear down.. with that power the jet fly very well.. and after do that, i noticed the jet almost stoped in the air.. them i supose that i lose one engine and go full power..but i could have a stall and crash it... this is the difficult.

Heraldo you have the flame out routine right on.....an option would have been to raise flaps to take off postion, fly around as long as the fuel will last for the good blower and land at your leasure.
The MIBO Hog will do any maneauver on one blower, with some off heading of course, that it would do with both turbines blowing.
Attached a couple of pictures that may help with your parts location.

Roger,
your new price list shows " Fuel tank - large, 3.7L per tank"
is this a new larger tank set or the same as previous G4 tanks?
