Thinking about a new Hog to replace the older one...
!. Has anyone tried the fowler track flaps?
2. Electric Behotec gear - good? bad?
3. Can the rear main gear door now be hinged scale (like Gen 3) with the Behotec gear?
4. Are the Gen 4 strus both hydraulic and spring dampened?
Thanks
Dave

on #3.... as you know the gear doors hit the behotec gear, i assume it is the same with the electric version as they most likely replace the air cylinder with a geared motor. but the position of the actuator is the same and gets in the way of the rear door. not a big deal just hinge it a bit further back.

Hey Kirk! How's you're Hawg coming along? Have you painted it yet?

i built them side by side but pushed to get 1 done when i came to finishing. now to finish #2.
the paint on both came out excellent! masks from Taylor Made were great. scrubbed all parts with soap and water with scotch brite and no issues with paint cracking or chemical issues.
hope to have #2 done within 1 month.

Hi Guys,
I'm finishing a G3 and need some help to place some scale details.
I've looked at tonnes of pictures of the A-10 put can't figure out where they should be.
Thanks,
Martin

The fans are running well. The are from Mibo, but need to be modified to resist to gyroscopic loads.
They now have approx 30 flights

Hi Carsten
You already have a wonderful A10 !!!!! I saw it at JetPower last year.
With some small details on the ailerons that higtly interest me.
I made a belt all aroud the fan with kevlar thread fiber glued with very strong epoxy ( professional one ) , so that they can not explode.
It seems to work ...

Hello Carsten
Sorry I made a confusion. The A10 I saw at jet power is the model of Geir Flesche.
With Electric brakes and gear. Very interresting upgrade...

Thanks Stan,
yes, that must have be Geir's, mine was not even produced at that time I guess
Lovely pictures, and I might have a ton of questions once my plane arrives
Understand on the fans! Had hoped no strenghtening was needed on those (2 x P100RX going into the plane)

Carsten
P100RX seems to me very under-powered according to the drag and weight of the model.
The fans for exemple add a lot of drag. I really feel the difference.
According to me I wouldn't get under P140 to be able to fly this model with all ammunitions + detailed cockpit + fans. Moreover in case of engine flame-out.
I already had 3 engines flame-out. One of them was at low speed with flaps extended and I need all the power of the P160 to keep the speed over the stall speed.
This is just my opinion....

Another upgrade I would have to do is to change the 2 UAT by only one , the very large one from GBR-Jet to simplify the fuel circuit
http://www.gbr-jet.com/catalog/produ...products_id=66
And probably use his electro brake

Stan, just heard from Bogo. The items are very important mods for the elevator system and are essential for the safety of the model....
Just kidding, they are axle covers for the main gear...
