RE: KFIR- The Ultimate Mirage!!!
Hey Mark.
I love to see your plane, makes me hurry and finishing my and my partner plane [link]http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7072266/tm.htm[/link].
As you can see we are almost before primer and we are planning to power it with the Wren Mk3 or the supersport as I want the plane
to be like the real one we are aiming to almost 1 to 1 dry and clean .
We are planning to put the turbine in the tail and gaining a lot of space for 2 liters of fuel right on the c.g. and
a space for the instalation but with little bit more weight , about 0.5 kg more than your plane.
I have a question.... what is the measurement of your best c.g. is it like the plan?
Thank you in advance
Avi

RE: KFIR- The Ultimate Mirage!!!
hello Avi, how are you doing? I noticed that you are from Israel.I always wanted to see Israel, but the closest I got was this Kfir. The CG is 7.5 inches from the leading edge of the wing. You are doing a great job with your Kfir.I would not recommend installing the engine in the tail because you will need too much weight in the nose to balance it.There is plenty of room for fuel (my Kfir has 62 oz and this is enough for 7 to 8 minuit flight)and there is room for bigger tanks. The wren54 Mk3 will have more than enough power to fly the Kfir and the 54 SS would be insane![:@]

Hi Mark
Thank you for the c.g. measurement.
I have some another questions.... how it flyes, does it have some bad habbits?
are you using gear doors if yes can you put some pictures, because
the mains gear doors scale were very difficult and you know what... the nose also
because there are 3 doors each wheel and the two small that are going with gear like the real
one an it took me almost two weeks to plan and to try make them work,
finally i found a solution but i'm not sure about it.

RE: KFIR- The Ultimate Mirage!!!
Bandit_av,
The Mirage/KFIR is a very honest flying airplane. It does not tip stall, but rather will do the delta "mush" when it gets too slow. I have a drawing that I can scan and email that shows how to do the double forward nose doors if you need it. I see from the picture that the main doors are doubled on the strut also. Makes me think that the same technique may help on the main doors as well. PM me an email address and I'll get that drawing to you along with some pictures.
Chris

Avi, I do not have any gear doors on my main landing gears, however I do have them on my nose gear. The Kfir is a great flying airplane. It can bleed off a lot of speed in a tight turn, but is almost stall proof and it will land very slow. You will love the way it flies.

Hi Joey,
PM me an email address and I can send it along if Avi has not already.
@ Avi, I wouldn't mind some of those pics if you'd be willing to send to me also?
@ Ants, This kit is available from Jet Hangar Hobbies (www.jethangar.com)

Thanks Chris,
I think Avi is going to send them, but I will probably be contacting you guys about the sport wing in the very near future.

Avi,
Thanks a bunch for the photos! The double nose gear door sure is cool! Hope I can get to that point here soon. I have had such a "honey dew" list to do, I haven't had time to work on it[]
