Dave,

I don't think too many people would know what a "Joey" is.

I will now set to and develop it so the kit will be for either the MW44 or EDF option. It should be ready around Christmas.
Alan, after the extended birthing process for the Elan, I'm just going to remind the readers that you did NOT specify WHICH CHRISTMAS !!!

Tommy,

I thought it was rather fitting since the Boomerang "killed" the Kangaroo.........

Just wrapped up a few hours of meetings with Alan discussing lots of new and exciting things. Including the new models name......
Also discussed a more Elan type fuse but as this would require moulding which would involve quite a delay in production and a feared weight penalty it has been decided to go with the old baby style built up fuselage.

Here is a picture that shows a comparison of size. This is my Wren 44 powered Savex L39 beside the "mini-me" boomer.

Ali & Alan

Seeing as how Foremost were able to clone the Elan in such a short timescale and come up with a moulded fuselage ( Okay, we know it is a piece of crap!) surely it is not going to take nine months to put the mini boomer into production with a balsa / ply fuselage? Come on guys, I have a Wren 44 and a set of small spring airs sitting doing nothing!!

Best regards

John

Hi Dave,

Actually the common name for a large kangaroo is a "Boomer" and a baby kangaroo is called a "Joey". Usually a Joey is of the age when it is still in its mothers pouch. They live in the pouch and spend increasing longer times out of the pouch as they get older.

"A kangaroo carries its baby in its pouch. The baby is born really tiny and crawls into its mother's pouch.

The baby lives in its mother's pouch till its quite large. Even when its quite large it still drinks milk from a teat in its mother's pouch.

It sometimes jumps into its mother's pouch head first when frightened. "

Very confusing.

Regards

If these had been available at the present time, I think I would have gone for one over the Boomerang Intro

I'm anxious too !! [] Having teased Alan earlier in this thread though about the time it takes him to put out a new kit, I feel compelled to remind myself that 1) Alan won't let it go to production until it's ready and fully developed, 2) Each new launch requires multiple trips to China [&:]and 3) There's no way even a full out effort will get it onto our work benches before the flying season is over for most of us anyway (with due respect to the Aussies and New Zealanders).

Sounds like I have my Christmas present to myself already picked out. Gonna have to crash some stuff this summer to make room for that and my 2 other waiting projects tho.[X(]

Boomerang 44 and when it comes out....Boomerang EDF.

Keep it simple, it has worked thus far.

alan even If its a balsa kit kindly attempt to have the fuselage roundish like the Ă©lan. Personally I wont mind putting in some sanding time for that result
