You should email Boomerang jets directly - they are the only ones that would know.....

Frankly, I made the little MW44 Boomerang for my own amusement. Hence the ten minute colour scheme.

I took it on it's first outing to Florida Jets and was amazed by the interest.

I will now set to and develop it so the kit will be for either the MW44 or EDF option. It should be ready around Christmas. These things do take longer than you'd think.

Flight performance can be seen on the DVD of Florida Jets 2008 by SKS video. It's so good, it's startling! Watch for the amazing recovery from a flame out at 6 feet altitude inverted, C/O Ali, of course!!

Here's a shot of Patricia with it. I haven't got a name for it yet. Any suggestions?

Alan

Alan, if this little guy flies anything like the ELAN, you have another winner there, EXCELLENT!

I know I am about as Biased as can be. But....
I got to have one 4 min flight on the Embreo at Florida Jets and have to say I was amazed. I was never really that keen on the project and if truth be know the delay in it coming to this stage is probably greatly down to me putting Alan off the project at any given opportunity. I have never really been a fan of small jets.
After that one breif flight at FJ I am more than Happy for Alan to go ahead and start producing this little gem. It has all the attributes of the normal Baby B but the agility of the Elan. It felt really crisp ( That was even with Alan's -80% expo on all controls... dont ask! ) As smooth as its bigger brothers, and the glide was spot on, as I found out half way through the first flight when it flamed out, in what was not the best position!
All in all a great little plane. I cant see it out selling the bigger boomer's but it certainly fills a nich for those with smaller turbines. I also know that Alan is going to develop an EDF version so even more opportunity to see yet more boomerangs out there flying.
I know Alan is off to the factory ( Again) this week so who knows he might even be hitting the start button on the this little squirt!
Regards Al

Treadstone Jr's little sister saw this and says it should be called the Boomerang Diamond..because its small and dazzles everyone like she does ..and if we bought one she would have her picture taken with it too...just like brother..

I feel an overdraught coming on...[:-]

Alan,

How about Boomerang Junior?

Of course, people would then call it the Junior Boomer.

I think Treadstone's daughter is on to something here! The 44 has been referred to as "a little jewel" and there are quite a few possibilities:

Boomerang Diamond
Boomerang Jewel
Boomerang Gem

Maybe we could even go for one in Wren colours? It would have to be an Emerald.

So, Treadstone, that'll be one of these new kits from Alan and a 44 Gold to go with it? .... you've got till Christmas to save up...

As for name - Ali had a nice name for it, but in the US the spelling would be different - the "Embryo".

This is a 'Girl Power' thing right ?..

Apparently.. It has to be the Boomerang Diamond because Diamonds are a girls best friend....So i have just been told..[:-]

Wren Turbines could be supplying us all with the MW44 Diamond Edition for Christmas...... Get some extra Elves in for the increase in demand...They thrive on Cakes..
