Has anyone built the Performance Phantom F-4 designed by Eric Baugher and available through Flying Models plans? I am considering building it since it has some resemblance to a real jet, but can be flown off grass. I'm interested to see what you have to say about the build, and the flying performance.

Wow, that one is pretty old.
I'm reasonably sure that Dave Penchuck up in Ottawa had one in the early 90s. If you send Jim Brown http://www.rcuniverse.com/community/...=1&memid=26631 a PM, he might be able to put you in touch with Dave.

Eric and I are long time friends (over 25 years). He still has his and it hangs in his Hobby shop just as you enter the front door. We fly it every year or so at the local club field but converted it to JHH EDF power at last years Liberty Bell rally. It is not an easy plane to fit everyting into and is for the experienced builder as well but flys great.

Eric actually did the electric conversion, re-plumbed his 20 year+ air lines at the rally He was using an old radio, with the original servos he put in the plane way back when he built it. It flew very well. Eric was even suprised how well the the ol' F4 did . It is a nice size aircraft. I am thinking of getting the plans myself, and get some pointers from Eric himself. Mr Belluomini, you are right ,Eric is a great guy and an outstanding flyer. A few years back, He flew my Ram 500 powered Cermark MB339, put it through his pattern routine, including rolling circles. The crowd was really receptive to his flying!!! What I really like to see though is when he takes his Bandit and does a sloooow roll that seems about a mile long and takes forever
