LA Jets Announcement
Due to a serious safety concern. LA Jets will be held Saturday only!!!
It has come to our attention that the Israeli Festival will be held Sunday across the street from our event. They are expecting 10,000 + people there, including the Gov,Mayor and a parachute team. If you measure from us to them we're talking 100ft from our downwind flight perimeter. In view of this substantial risk to our club and field the club president has decided to cancel the flying for Sunday.
I apologize for the late notice and regret any inconvenience this has caused.
regards
gregg

RE: LA Jets Announcement
I regret to inform you that as Gregg mentioned above, It has come to our attention that there will be an Israeli festival held on Sunday May 18th across our flying facility.
This event was not listed on the parks schedule during our permitting process. They are expecting 150,000 people to show up. Eventhough we have had no incidents involving model airplaes across our facility, it is in the best interest of safety to cancel the event for Sunday only.
The LA Jets Spring 2008 will be a 1 day event. We will be open on Saturday May 17th.
I would like to extend my appologies if this has caused any inconvenience.
All the Best
