How long can we store JetA1?
I have a few litres of JetA1 stored in good containners since 2002. Can I use it? What can happen?
I also have 10 Litres with se same age already mixed with oil. Can it be used?
I am not worried with the fuel, just don't know how to discard it.

The fuel seems good. I've tested a P160 on a bench with this fuel and haven´t noticed anything wrong.
I am thinking in using it on a PHT3 as engine failure is not critical.

Another issue... hehehehe
What about the oil?
It is hard to me to buy turbine oil. I have to buy it by mail from other country... but i can get free quarters with expired date for free here. Is this oil good for us??
Thanks

Marito,
we had JET-A1 stored for a long time, and, when we use the thrust it fell significantly, however keeping the rotation !!! take care not to compromise an expensive equipment, to save some euros in JET-A1.
is my opinion with a bad experience.
hope help you

I wouldn't use fuel this old. I work at Salt Lake International Airport and we don't use or sell fuel older than a few months.
If you have stored it in air tight containers, in a stable temperature, in the dark, it will be less likely to have contaminants and water.
Try running it and if you are happy give it a try, however, even at $6.00/gallon new fuel is cheap when compared with repairing a clogged fuel injector or losing an aircraft due to a flame out.
I personally won't use fuel that is older than 3-4 months.

I fully understand what FLYUTAH is saying. We did not store a lot of Jet fuel aboard our carriers, but that is because we used it about as fast as we could get it. I'm currently using two year old fuel and it burns just like new......it, however, is stored in a cool dark place during the winter months here in Idaho. I do not store fuel at our Arizona home and would consider it unstable if kept at 118F.

Thank you guys for your feedback.
I found a friend who as a kero heater and made a "donation". lololll
I wasn't worried about the fuel price, I simply didn't know where to discard it.
