Default Dreamworks ProLink Struts for Flash!

Just finished installing and testing the first set of ProLink Struts for the Comp-Arf Flash. After badgering Todd for ages to come out with a set I finally got 'em and dropped them in before flying this weekend. Best part was that no mods were necessary to the wheel wells. Because I chose to update the retract units too I had to cut the mounts out to accept the larger, more robust retract units. The "trailing link" struts fit perfectly in the existing wells though.

They also performed magnificently on the ground, getting rid of the "rattling" caused by the behotec struts.

Thanks Todd, great upgrade to a great plane!

Todd,

Will those struts fit the Behotec gear? How do they attach to the Behotec trunions?

Also, did you get my email about the Prolink gear for the Euro?

Thanks!
Bob

Hi Bob,
The Flash Struts will be available in two forms, a direct replacement for the Behotec which will fit the 6mm pins OR with 1/2" trunion lock style. I am still playing with the design a bit to see if I can make one set do both but not sure it is possible since the trunion lock style needs to be longer to compensate for the section that enters the trunion.

As for an email about the Euro gear, nothing received?? Please resend!

Todd,
Will the 6mm style be a female part for the pins or a male integrated part that will replace the pins?

6mm units will be the same connection style as the stock so pins can be replaced..... I really dislike this method of attachment and even looked at making a replacement trunion for the Behotec gear to provide a trunion lock setup but, the gear are just too small for this method....
