Yes, I have a set going in my Airworld ME-262. They are the BVM of Electric ducted fans.

Whalecrew and Bruff

Thanks for the info. I am thinking of putting it in a B66 and want to buy the right fan unit the first time.

What motor and speed control are you using?

Default Schubi`s

Crazyjim,

You can get loads of info over at e-zone on that fan. The Schubi is the best there is, 5 month wait tells you something. You need to spend money for performance in EDF. Uncle Joe and Bob Ruff are into it and can help you decide. You can spend as much as it would cost to buy two wren 54 turbine kits!! for your B-66 project.

Vin...

Default Setup

My ME-262 is using Hacker B50-16L, Master/Jeti 77 AMP ESC and 22 HV 2600 ma cells. Should be in the 1200 Watt area per motor.

Default A little off topic, but...

Just a little off of the main thread, but does anyone know where I can come up with a 3 inch (or thereabouts) fan unit? I'm trying to put together a twin... 5"+ fans would make this way too big.

Randy the most common used is wemotec. www.wemotec.com The schubeler fan that is being disgussed here is from,www.shredair.com If your on a budget you stay toward wemotec. If $$$ isn't a question then the schubi fan is the way.As for U.S. source's for wemotec,Kirk at Newcreationsrc.com or eam.com are a good starting point. Also you can jump over to the ezonemag.com go to the jet forum.have fun, stefanP

Thanks Stephan... I have been looking at the WeMoTec, but was unsure if they were good for piston use.

Many thanks.

Default WeMoTec

WeMoTec are not good for glow use only electric. The only two fan that are glow that size is the Kyosho 90 mm and the Tokin fans. Both are set up for .15 to .18 size motors.
Good Luck,
Bob
