RE: Global Jet Club???
Its been around for a few months. I purchased my JL 1/8 f-16 from Mike Lin (global jet club). Its custom painted in the "ace in the hole" scheme. Its great. Mike is a great guy to deal with.

RE: Global Jet Club???
Hi Guys,
Thank you for your compliments.
I started this Club about 1 year ago with the intention of making this Jet flying experience fun for the experienced and the new. When I started flying jets, there were not many affordable jets or adequate services. I felt left out and loss due to lack of support. It was the local fliers like Dave Presta, Douggie, Terry, Scott, Rick, Larry Wolfe and many others here in the States and ex-pats over there in Asia helping me out and got me going in this contagious hobby. Battling out the quality problems and delivery times from these Chinese vendors seems a mission impossible. However, I love challenges. One thing leads to another, this is where we are. We now have our own workshop about 10,000 sq. ft in China. Luckily knowing some friends up there, we now have MIG (full scale) builders joining our teams building our jets. Our mantra is that "If we can't get it, we will build it" We upgrade and validate the jet kits from kit suppliers and also develop our own jets with top designers around the world. I guess we are now the only 100% American own jet shop building jets in China. It's the best way to achieve the best quality, service and price. Most of our builders were recruited from the aerospace industries so they have the mind set of building real airplanes, not "toy airplanes" that most R/C model factories over there were accustomed to. This is a new start. We look forward to making this R/C jet modeling the most exciting hobby for many years to come. Thank you all for your support.

However, according to their website it seems to me that the membership is not required to purchase, instead it gets you benefits like free shipping, discounts etc. Similar to Tower Hobbies, so what's the big deal ?

Hi Andy,
We fly off the streets and these police officers help us block out the ground traffic and crowd. Some are MPs. No turbine waivers needed, even though we all have waivers. Don't know if AMA would cover us for flying oversea.

I see you have some, "handlers" in one of those pics. Or are the police just friends?

RE: Global Jet Club???
Is there a certain way to find the pricing on the global jet club site? Has anybody flown the 1/6 scale F-16. I am Interested in buying one just concerned about the runway I fly off of
it is only 400 ft long with only 100 ft runoff at each side.

Klave,
I had just updated our website. I did not put the price of our ARF PRO on it because the 1/6 F16 is in backlog at this moment. If it takes more than 3 months to get the kits from Jet Legend, we won't sell them. It take a good handful of time to build this plane correctly, about 30 to 45 days.
Talk to Jack Graham about his flying experience on this one. Will ask him to chime in on this one.

RE: Global Jet Club???
HI Guys,
I only have a few flights on the JL F-16 right now, I had some engine issues and had them adress by Jet Cat at the Liberty Bell meet. Thanks Bob W. for the help.
I will be flying this in the near future, and give you better feedback. I will say what I know now. The plane tracks like an arrow and take off in 400 feet is a green. No problem. Landing is as short as any jet out there, and having said that, 400 feet can be enough most of the time, however, I would go to a longer field until you get used to it. As you can see on the JL F_16 post up her that I had rudder issued on the first flight and had to go with a power up high alpha landing, it responded like a dream and landed in less than 75 feet at a very slow speed, (almost a stall LOL) If you have f-16 experience, and know how to do that kind of landing, then you will not have a problem, If you try to glide it in and let it be hot, it will eat up that 400 feet in a hurry, especially if you land it with 200 feet behind you LOL. The brakes are first class and stop well enough to wear even flat spots on both tires without fading to either side...... LOL trust me ..... I can vouch for the flat spots. It appears to fly exactly like the skymaster 1/6th. Hope that helps you some and feel free to keep in touch with me and any of the other JL products.
