Overnight the price of gas has jumped 25 to 50 cents thanks to IKE or the price greedy stations...
So in loo of thier profiteering...
I stop and buy 25 cents worth on my credit card!
And yes, I do have the pump print out the reciept.
Soon I may have to empty the coin jar for about two gallons in pennies and nickles.

Just finished my Ike burgers. Man were they good.
I am in the NW part of Houston and we have trees down, fences down and my power was out from about 5:30 this morning until about 4PM. Got some building in during the storm. I did have a neighbors tree lean over on the corner of my house, but I already got out there with a saw and cut that sucker in half! Neighbor came out and said "guess it is not worth saving!"
She must be nuts. I hacked that piney tree to pieces to get it off my eve/roof. Now, how to turn all that wood into a new airplane to fly!

I spoke with Barry (U2Fast) and says to tell everyone he is OK and he had only minimal damage to his home. His shope is still so clean you can eat off of it, matter of fact I think the neighbors have beend oing just that. he needs some gas for his generator, cause he was still without power last night, but everyone in his family was OK, so not much to complain about. I think it might have been worst than he expected though....haha

yeppers doc, it was worse then expected. i guess it was the overall size of the storm. it lasted forever. came at night, so you guessed it. no sleep for 2 days. the tidal surge was much bigger then expected as well. again, it was the size of the storm. they say the surge was what a cat4 would bring. when i drove to lousiana down i10 yesterday, the tidal surge had gone north of there. it had receeded enough to pass, but let me tell you, the cattle and wild hogs werent so lucky. they were everywhere. also, there were cars abondoned along i10. it appears they were flooded out. makes me wonder what happened to the people driving them. all i can say is, buc was right. ike brought it with some extra stank. barry
