Hi all
just bought a second hand Ram 750 and am wondering where the best place to buy Kero / Jet A1 fuel and Turbine oil from in Vic is ???
Have seen Kero in Bunnings but am thinking there has to be somewhere cheaper and dont know where to get the proper turbine oil from. Have heard a few guys using high qualtiy motorbike racing 2 stroke oil, is this an option?? Also what are/have you guys used for propane,I can find propane in Bunnings but buggered if i can find a fitting to hook up to a 4mm tube.
thanks for any help

Hi Mattyb
Why don't you give Peter Agnew a call on (03) 9436 2296. I am sure he will point you in the right direction. WRT the gas fittings, I use the powermax cannisters and bought one of the matching gas torches from bunnings. You can take the plastic handle off it, cut the end of the nozzle and drill and tap it for a 4mm festo fitting. You then screw it right on top of the powermax canisters and it is very compact and works perfectly. Peter may have a purpose made fitting that you can buy though.
I run Shell Nautilus two stroke outboard oil (from supercheap auto) in my engines at around 2%. No issues so far and I am alot happier using that for health reasons than the turbine oil that was never designed to be burnt. There is a whole debate available there though that has been done to death on other forums. Each to his own.
Hope that helps.
Craig.
