Default 9303 Problems

Since I fly jets and use this forum frequently, I have a question about my JR 9303 transmitter. Here is the problem. I select the model I want in the Model Selection section. The system works fine and the jet operates properly. When I turn off the transmitter and cut it back on, the transmitter always goes back to Model 5 every time (not the previous model selected). I have tried to delete Model 5 in the Model Reset section. It appears to delete the Model as normal. When I cut off the transmitter and turn it back on the transmitter goes back to Model 5. I have tried to copy a model to Model 5 but again when I shut off the transmitter and turn it back on, it goes back to Model 5 with no changes. Frustrated!!. Anybody have any suggestions? By the way Model 5 is an F18 I no longer use. The transmitter always goes back to this model when it is cut on.

Thanks for any help.

I would just send it into Horizon rather than take chances with it

Can you go into a blank model, make some trim changes, etc. and see if it's saving those changes when you cycle the power? Sounds like there's something up with the memory in the radio where it's just not saving changes. Definitely send it in...is it an X9303 2.4 or a module-based 9303?

I can set up a new model, no problem. When the transmitter is shut down and turned back on it will always go back to Model 5. The trans is a module based unit not a 2.4 system. When a model is selected the selected model works as desired. Only when I shut down and turn back on does the problem occur.

Thanks

can you modify any other model and have it save the changes when you shut it off and turn it back on or does it go back to how it was before you changed anything?

I know I saw someone else complain about this on FG awhile back. Can't remember the cause of the problem though.

I have 2 of those radios - one of each, and never encounterd a problem like that.
I'd vote with the others, let Horizon take a look at it......

That could be from battery power. If the power is not enought the radio will not keep the new settings. Or with the internal flash memory. The best thing is send it back to Horizon. Another guy servicing JR Radio is Tony Stillman from Hobby South.
