Hi Dave,
I'm running the 1221 Rx with my JetCat P120SE. Initially I set up the plane with throttle ATV at 100%, did the bind, then adjusted the ATV to 75% and did the teach. This is as per the instructions (version 6 ECU manual).
Later I heard here on RCU that Bob Wilcox recommended 50% (not 75%). So I adjusted the ATV down to 50% and redid the teach. No problems at all after 14 flights.
I'm not quite sure what Bandit Driver is refering to with the throttle stick at 50%.
Regards,
Jim

Dave,
I test flew a Fei Bao F-18 F for a friend with the 12X 1221 system. First flight was a flame out at reduced throttle. Called Bob and he said as above. Bind the rec at 100% throttle. Change ATV to 50% and learn the RC. No problems since the change. By the way the F-18 landed fine on dead stick maiden flight.
