The F-86 is a Skymaster owned by Vinny difabbio and is powered by a P-80.

The f-86 was spectacular, and I was fortunate enough to see it.

Was flying my non-jet, 1/4 scale 1934 Rearwin Speedster.

Nice video Wayne. It was a blast turn'in and burn'in with Vin. Here is the link to the On Eight Air Force photo album from the 2008 fall flyin.

Saturday:[link]http://ussma-midwest.org/forums/index.php?action=gallery;cat=47[/link]

And Sunday:[link]http://ussma-midwest.org/forums/index.php?action=gallery;cat=48[/link]

This is a very well run event that is open to any SCALE models. I recommend that you put it on next year's calender.

Here a couple of my favorite shots form the site.....'Don't know who shot them............

John

Wayne,
Thanks for posting the vid. I had a great time out there with you guys. I got in 12 flights with the F-86 and managed to stay clear of the prop guys with your excellent spotting for me. With 70+ pilots attending and perfect weather the flight lines were always busy and having a good spotter was important. There were some really nice scale planes there and they all flew.

Nice video and pics. I was hoping someone would get a thread going on this event. I asked Frank to E-mail me the pics of our Gong-master with his helmet on. Will post as soon as I get.

Wayne,

Thanks for posting the video. I have taken the liberty of embedding it into our website ([link]http://www.oneeighthairforce.org/Default.aspx?tabid=76[/link]). Hope that's okay with you.

I would also like to thank all the jet guys that attended and flew, and flew, and flew, and flew. It was great to see and added alot to the event.

Val

Joe,
that shot looks like it was taken early sat am before the flying...either way Mr. Ron looks grumpy. He had to work hard to get the weekend pass from the Mrs i guess... []
V..
BTW This is why Ron looked grumpy... he just dropped it off at my office.

Thanks Tony, Sean, Dan, Scale Dali! I guess having that gong on hanging there on standby makes me pay attention!

All in all, there was a lot of good flying going on last weekend..............Hardly any drama. Just many, many great looking scale models flown very well.

I flew nine times on Saturday........I wish that I had spent more time cruising the pits to see all the cool stuff.............................

Tailwinds,

Joihn
