Does any one have any experience flying the Goetz L159 ALCA. I am nearing completion of one and would appreciate any information on where the CofG should be, control throws to use and flying characteristics etc. Any info appreciated.

Hi John,
I've flown the L-159 at the JWM in 2003, 2005 and 2007.
It flies like a pattern plane, wingloading is higher then on a JL or AW L-39, so landingspeed is a bit higher but not a problem.
CofG is 120mm behind leading edge at wingroot.
Regards
Martin

Hi John,
I use a jetcat P-120.
My competition model has a weight of 14.5Kg dry + 2.5L fuel
my first one with less scale details has 13.5 kg dry
I've seen some people flying the L-159 with a P-160, the model can handle the additionel power without problem, but it's not scale like.
regards
Martin
