I went to look up Skymaster dealers for an email address and see the list has many deleted and a new one listed....BVM

This is interesting.......

I guess BVM will be doing something scimilar to what they did with Tam's F18 and fitting some decent gear in one or some of Skymasters airframes. The Mig would be nice..

Good Luck.

As a customer/owner/builder of multiple SM and BVM jets....this could be a good/great move for both companies.

Hopefully BVM will bring a degree of service, QC, and support that was sometimes lacking in the previous SM products and sales channels. On the other hand, street pricing will likely increase.

I'm sure that BVM has lost significant market share to the Asian imports over the last 5 years or so, seriously affecting his business - this could be a great way to maintain revenues in a declining market. On the other hand, BV's greatest asset - his sterling reputation - is at stake.

Let's hope it works out for everyone!

If this means that BVM will now give Anton access to his F-100 molds, so that the kit could be updated to molded wings, made and ARF and, brought down in price, I'm all for it! Place my order!

Yep...ironic it is! Same thoughts here.

Times change, and circumstances breed strange bedfellows.... here's proof positive.

David,
The BVM F-100 HAS molded wings.....it never had built up balsa wings.
You must be thinking about the large (80") F-86.
It has built up wings to not have the 2% deduction for molded wings at Top Gun.

Does this mean that the Skymaster line will now be priced out of reach of the average flier?

You're right! So, I'll just settle for: Made an ARF and brought down in price! Place my order anyway!

Well I guess I am one now..... a BVM/Skymater rep.
Skymaster has done a good job of improving their products over the years and the market share they have created is self evident. They have allot of models to choose from and they have created an product that can be out of the box and in the air flying with a minimum of effort and that in itself has value.
I will open the doors for whole new group of customers.
MIG 29 inbound.
The sandbox just got allot bigger.

Just wondering, I have some long time relationships with guys like Ray LaBonte and Eric Clapp too that have carried the flag pretty strong for SM. Those guys have been work horses for SM! So...from what I am reading...they are no longer SM Reps????

BTW, I am a BVM fan too Two Kingcats so far!!!

Whodaman...LOL[sm=drowning.gif]

In all seriousness, I think it would be absolute insanity for SM (BVM influence or not) to raise prices on their products in this economy.

Jeff, did Skymaster-USA and BVM actually merge, or is BVM just the exclusive distributor of SM products for the eastern region of the USA?

So are you still drinking the Kool-aid if you own a skymaster jet? Or does it HAVE to be a BVM jet still?
