Robbe/Ripmax Help

I have been using this module (ROBBE VERSION) in a JR 9303 for evaluation for jet model use, It has been flawless to date even in a 307 pilot indoor event most of which used 2.4.
My help ?? involves Ripmax now selling these and I was hoping to get the included instructions in English format as mine is all German, although it is intuative enough to bind without, I would be interested in what it has to say. I've searched online and cant come up with the English version, any help would be appreciated.
At the recent E-fest I found it very interesting that I have Corona2.4, Spektrum 2.4, and Robbe Fasst 2.4 moudles all for use with my 9303, while all units performed well once bound I did find it very interesting that the Corona was very difficult to secure a bind at times, Spektrum took upwards of 30-45 seconds, (seemed like an eternity prior to combat launch) BUT the Robbe Fasst was instantaneous, does'nt matter how you turn it in rx/TX no matter what enviroment. This leads me to believe there is a unique enough differance between competing technology just in the bind prior to flight.
So in my world you cant beat $20 4chnl rx for foamies the Corona offers
Spektrum you can't deny bind and fly deals or second hand cheap 2.4 abundance rx.
And Fasst for me seems to be my 2.4 prefference, for models I value to pay $100+ for rx, but they want $1000.00 for a TX to equal the 9303 offerings. .02

Hi C/f
I have just spoken to the head guy at Futaba here in the UK.
These units are now in stock. The instructions are not finalized as yet but these modules operate in exactly the same way as a Futaba TM-7 Tm-8 Modules. So for now these manuals can be used.
I hope this is of help?
Regards Al

It has a dip switch setting for 7 or 12, yet a chart appears to show that the most assignable is using the FASST 608 FS rx for a total of 8 chnl usable. It also appears to show the FASST 6014 FS rx is only usable with the MX22 radio still limited to 8 channels.
Should be no problem since when the DX7 came out allot of people jumped shipped on 10X and figured out how to setup jets on a 7chnl TX, a search should reveal acceptable results.
Thanx ALI I'll check that bind process out.......Remember me if/when directions become readily available.

Can anyone confirm the maximum number of channels this module can support with an MX-22 operating in 12 channel PPM mode?
I have just ordered a TX module, and before I spend another 200 bucks on a 6014 Rx, I want to be sure I can use all 12 channels.
Ali - can you ask Ripmax?
Thanks
Paul

on a JR 10x, how many channels do they offer? all 10 or just 9 like the Spektrum?

The 10th channel AUX5 did nothing, although it was enabled on the Tx.
Dip switch on the Tx module was set to 12, Tx modulation set to PPM
I was hoping for the full 10 channels.

Right... Just spoken with the powers that be!
The answer was not definitive, but.... The module is designed to operate the full 12 ch's and that depends how it interfaces with each radio. I have been told, that in Theory that this module will work with all the proportional channels of a particular radio. Example. if you have a TX that has 8 proportional channels and lets say 2 non proportional this module will only work with 8. But if you have 10 fully proportional channels then hey presto 10chs it is!
Hope this is of some help?

going from memory the 10x only actually transmits 9 channels in PPM mode.

]A marriage between JR & Futaba FASST was never going to be perfect, was it ?

Is it channels 9 + 10 that are updated at a slow frame rate ? I use them for non critical/flying surfaces for that reason.

Aux4 and Aux5 (9 and 10) are half rate yes but are fully proportional none the less, but in PPM mode the 10x doesn't transmit channel 10 that's why you can only get a 9 channel FM RX.
I'd love to pop a FASST RX in a few of my jets but i use channel 10 for turbine control, ***still saving up for the 12x***
