RE: Another Skymaster Viper
That makes sense Hans as we got them at the same time. Is it the wrong one then???
I pretty much finished my fuz today. I'm just glassing the cockpits to stop them from splitting. They are the only crap thing in the whole kit, more jetjoe quality than skymaster lol. I glued in the front canopy today (a replacement as I cracked the first).
Once the canopy and cokpits are dry the only thing left is to install the stab servos and it's ready to go. I got the lights working on the radio last night, they look awesome!!!

RE: Another Skymaster Viper
Hi Duncan,
I don't know if it's the wrong one. I'm waiting for the pictures, hoping there's a big difference. Otherwise I think I'll just swap it out to be sure. No sense in risking a jet over a simple wing-tube
I still have to build my lights in the wings, I'm going to put in one white and one coloured LED per tip, should look cool.
I know what you mean about the cockpits - I added some CF and balsa in strategic places, but plan on removing them as little as possible. I know they are built as light as possible, but think they kind of overdid it. A moulded tub would be so much better.
Hope the weather gets better soon, really want to fly this one
Lots of Vipers on Pampa's I think

Hi all,
Here is the pictures showing the difference between the 2 pipes. If your pipe is 0.6mm please e-mail us and we will replace free of charge. We will take some pipes to Florida Jets to echange for USA customers. So if you are not attending or know of somebody that will, please collect the pipe from us in the Florida Jets.
For UK and rest of world we will send via EMS.
This problem only for Viper large and Hawk Large. So please check and send us e-mail before flight.
Best Regards
Anton

I got 0.65mm (tripple checked) and 298 grams, and mail has been sent!
(P200 and this tube, guess I was lucky!)

My tube is the same as yours. Not had any problems over many flights. I will send for the stronger tube, just to be safe.

Hi gonzalom
This ok for 16kg thrust turbines. If you are planning using P200 size then we need to bring pipe to you.

RE: Another Skymaster Viper
Hi Sandor
I've been thinking about getting a set of your gear for my viper to save it from my odd landings lol. Is there anyway they can be rounded off at the edges to make them look a bit better and a little less, well, agricultural? I know that your gear is the strongest out there, but a bit like yourself, these have a face only a mother could love
At the minute it's like trying to choice between a JR and Multiplex tx, everyone knows how good the programing is on a MPX tx, but noone wants to be seen with a pizza box hung around their neck, so go with the better looking JR

RE: Another Skymaster Viper
I don't have your fancy schmancy digital calipers, but mine is the same
Thinking it would be easier for SM to ship out a container of the correct tubes to europe, and distribute them from here

RE: Another Skymaster Viper
Maybe I am just being cynical, but it looks like everyone has a wing tube that does not come up to spec. Perhaps the specs have changed, rather than the original tube failing to come up to spec. But good on Anton for upgrading them free. Anyone got a good one?

the problem is to attach the gear doors , for this reason we needed the have the John deer version
but good news! the front looks actually better , a bit like your face like a pyramid[>:].
but serious we got now about 20 new sets made after this there wil be a small update , but to be honnest as soon you mount them they look actually great.

RE: Another Skymaster Viper
LOL no worries mate. I think just a 3-4mm radius would make the world of difference. I hear what your saying about mounting the gear door arm, but you could still mount it the same way using a radius, rather than a totally round oleo.

this is or next upgrade for them.
the front oleo does look better i agree , i just spend a session of working on sunday until 1.30 am this morning
and again the whole today to get all done in time to get anodised.
next thing is a whole new gear for the Ultra lightning. based on the viper wheels and brakes , with behotec gear..
after this the viper oleo,s will be sold out again and i will make the newer look for them.
i could give you a girly nail file and you do the corners?
