Default need some help

This may be the dumbest question that anyone has asked on here but what methods do you guys use to get your receiver antenna down a yellow nyrod? Mine gets about 3/4 of the way down and starts to crinkle on me. The bobcat fliers will have some experience in this area.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Patrick.

Default Not Dumb..but my solution may be

If the reciver is free, and you can slip the antenna down the nyrod and THEN hook up servos. Just stretch the antena out as straight as possible, close that portion in the freezer for a few minutes, it will be stiff and go right in the hole way.

THIS ONLY APPLIES TO ANTENNAS!!!

Firt time I tried it, I had the same problems as you.

Then I picked up a can of Wd-40, complete with the thin plastic tube that acts as a nozzle, held that up to the end of the nyrod inner and gave it a blast. That made the antenna wire slip through nice and smoothly.

Default Problem solved

Kevin and Gordon,
I want to thank both of you for your suggestions. A combination of both worked perfectly. Since the receiver is already installed in the plane and I could only get a portion of it in the freezer I was having the same problem, but when I added a blast of WD40 it went in as smoot as S&*% through a goose.

Thanks Guys.

Patrick.
