I believe they are guides for the cables to run through if need be. Correct me if I'm wrong.

they keep the cable from twisting and fowling around the servo arm in the retracted position when they go slack and it's turing with rudder input.

In my previous post I mean how is the sequence of items installed. Please look at the picture. Its expanded and not tightened up yet on the picture. This is going to be the nose strut side, not the sevrvo side. Is this correct?

on my 16 they were not used or shown in the manual. I used a ziptie as shown and it takes care of the cables when slack.

At point I used them to keep the cables separated and out of the way when the gear was retracted. They are not springs so they hold their shape when stretched out.

Hello

Ok I received an email from Tam. The green springs are there so that you can fix your rubber band or your tie-wraps that keep the cables clear of the strut when retracted. When the gear is down the cables move freely within the green springs. Look at the picture.

So now, as we say, we have heard it from the horses mouth. Thanks Tam and to everyone who has answered here with their ideas.
