Default Futuba 10C programming help

Ibeen trying to set up my brakes on the 10c, the book is worthless. Ihave my brakes set to the trainer switch to act like a brake pedal, and want to use the left slider as the parking brake. Ihave tried countless mixes but cant get the link to work. anyone do this on a 10c? IF so, how?? thanks...

Frank,

You must plug your brakes into channel 8 for this example.

In your basic menu, goto Aux-Ch and Set Channel 8 as VrD.
Goto to the end point menu andselectchannel 8. Adjust your endpoints to operate the brake valve correctly.
Goto the advance menu and select a prog. mix
Set the master as OFST
Set the slave as CH8
Set Link Off
Set the switch as SwH
Set Pos as Down
Adjust your rate in the prog mix to operate the valve correctly.

That should be it. You can verify the movements by going to the Servo screen and watching the direction. I would suggest you use only half of the slider throw because that is all you can get with the trainer switch using an offset. You will understand what I mean looking at the servo screen.

Ok, I followed your program step by step.  Left sliders activates the brakes, but the trainer switch (F) does not.

Sorry, I have the heli version of the radio. (I do not like ratchets). The trainer switch on my radio is SwH.

In your prog mix, change the switch to SwF

Ichanged it to switch F, but still doesnt work. IS there another setting somewere Iam missing? Should the trainer switch be set to MIX, FUNC, or NORMAL?

When Iwatch the servo screen, Isee the slider switch movement, when Itry the trainer switch ch 8 doesnt move.

Check your prog mix screen. If the switch is working you will see the mix setting turn on and off. Sounds like you have your rate set at 0%. Set to either + or - 100%. Remember, you can only use half of the slider in order to use the offset on the trainer switch. Set your slider in the middle and chooseto useone way or the other in your endpoint menu. I think this is where you are going wrong.

Hi,
I have heard some one tell me that it is a good idea to change the throttle trim from the normal trim switch to the slider on the side of the radio. Has any one done this, is it a good idea. Is it possible to change the Throttle trim to the slider on the 10C

Thanks
Dave
