So, I figured I'd try one of the Smoothstop II's. The wheels on my Scorpion freewheel very well initially when the air line is removed from the valve. After reinstalling the air line to the system and using the brakes once, it refused to return to a freewheel. Its as though its not letting all the air out and is still holding at a minimal setting. Any ideas on how to solve this other than buying a Jettronic valve?

Hi.
I am using the older version of the BVM smooth stop brake valve. Make sure the travels of the plunger returns fully to the end of the valve. Also check to see
if there is any clogs in plunger's relief air hole. If you are using the O ring style brake system, lube those O rings up so that it could contracts back into the brake hub's
grooves once the air is bled out from the valve. Good luck.
