I have a set of UltraLightning wings to go on my as yet unbuilt CARF Lightning. I have gone to the CARF website and cannot find a UL manual online.
can someone post a link to the UL manual here or PM me or email the manual to me?
thanks

There is no manual. You can figure it out. The new wing design changes the cg to the middle of the wing tube. You have to be creative routing the wires and airline under the wing tube socket. The retracts don't need a spacer under them. The exit hole for the aileron pushrod is further back then the old wing. You don't ave to open up the plate at all. The pushrod goes through the wing skin only.

You will also find that the flap servo mount doesn't leave enough room for the servo arm - the only thing I was able to get to fit was a carefully trimmed JR plastic servo arm.

thanks guys.
that's pretty weird about the routing of the wires and air lines. from you pic it looks like no way to get the lines into the laser cut holes above where you routed the wires/tubes.
regarding the servo arm, i gues that means that the SWB arm's will have to go to a different project, yes?
i have only built one other jet, a KingCat so i am used to a different level of detail in the instructions.
but with the helpful hints here, i dont see any problems.

Joeeagle,
You are correct - the SWB arms will not work. The spacing of the holes on the SWB" arms are such that you either tear through the skin of the wing or don't have enough throw. You need an arm with metric spacing, the plastic JR servo arms will work but be careful not too trim too much off the end.
It looks to me that they did not update the servo mount for the new UL wings. I notified them of the issue but haven't noticed a change in design. At the very least they could provide a custom arm like BVM does with the ultra-bandit.
Good luck,
Phil
