I have only had this happen a couple of times. I always marked it down as a low/dead battery issue. I have used it many times with great luck, both with old and new firmware.

On a side note...don't ever apologize for your poor English. Your posts are always welcome. Besides...your English is better than most everybody else's Greek (or Spanish, or Russian, or etc.).

George,
Bob has a good point. Most Americans are monolingual (if that) and I'm impressed with your English skills. Yes, it's frustrating to do a whole flight with the camera in mind, then land to find nothing there...

yes it is[:@] i have put it unter the nose face aft..so i record retracts deploy.. take off landings touch+go's and on the fin take a nice view of the jet cocpit above ..
spent a day do my best and when i got back i was soo sad and frustrated i didnt found the videos[&o]
.. i think the next fashion in rc jets will be a unit
that can record in a memory onboard and have 3 or 4 mini cams around... i think the manufactor will come up with this , will make lots of bucks from the jet guys![8D]
now realy whats our option for video onboard recording ?

Hi,
It's probably due to vibrations. I had same problem : few minutes recorded only and work fine at home. Supplier told me to put some foam. I've to do some tests now.

I've yet to test mine on my jet but I'm lucky if I get more than 30-50 seconds of recording time on my prop planes.

I had similar problems. Eventually I tried the 2nd definition quality and it worked very well. I think the problem is that with high definition there is too much data for the power supply. One of these days I will try full definition on an auxiliary power supply.

I had trouble with my flycamone 2 and I think it was because I was just turning it off after the flight, instead of first stopping the recording THEN turning it off. If I just turn it off, nothing gets saved. I also only seem to get one recording per outing, and it must have something to do with the battery capacity. I've lost a lot of flight videos, but the one's I did get were pretty neat.

Black hole sun, won't you come,
and wash away the rain.
Black hole sun, won't you come,
won't you com.
These song lyrics lead me to ask, why do all these small cams yield a black hole over the sun.

i had the same problem and the cause was the battery. I plugged mine in to a spare channel on the rx so it uses it for power and it works fine. As for vibration, there isn't any/much in a jet anyway

I had exactly the same problem 'Kept switching off in flight' I have just installed a new internal 220mAh liPo and it is working great and does not switch off in flight. Keep a check on battery and do not let voltage go to low, remember it is a lipo! I always stick on charge after it has been used a couple of times and keep the lipo topped up, I reckon that's the problem with some folks batteries that the battery has became discharged which then will reduce the capacity etc.
As regards to vibration I have had my flycamone 2 mounted on my Edge 540 on the top deck 4" away from a YS63S with perfect results and if that is not a test for vibration then I don't know what would be!
Also I have ran on a Graupner Terry S glider and no problems and also on my jets but as folks have said no vibrations. I do think the main problem with most of the flycamone 2's are the battery, also when you use inside the house the 'bad' batteries seem to last but out in the 'cold' it fades away very quick!

Hi,
Yep, it was turning it "off" before stopping the recording. That was it! I got a nice video today of the Stingray. Funny, every time I see these in-flight jet vids, I used to always think, "Gee, why don't these guys smooth out their flying?" When I landed, I realized the worst (most shaky) vid I've seen was my own! This is a small, spritely jet, though....
Thanks for the help, folks!

Glad you got it working. Very nice video. You can also tilt your lens back a few degrees to give you more ground and less sky. If you ever need to edit your video, give this free program a try.

Ohh, ok
The inflight shots looked to me to be Falbrook, but i have never been to Miramar so i would'nt know the difference. Great flight though and the flycam looks intriguing[sm=thumbup.gif]
