Ican't say enough good things about this combo. Thanks Eric and Keith Seivers (sp?) for the shove and advice..... Thanks to Buck, Ron and Bob-o for the encouragement and tips. I can now say "she is completely dial!" Oh yeah..... and thanks to Dougie for pushing crow.... when he said, "like butta" Ireally thought "yeah, the day I land something like butta......" but it's even easy than you said Dougie..... it makes my landings look great - so easy and perfect short-field capable jet. GREATgas mileage (7 minutes) and ready for smoke. Thanks to Kevin Whitlow for the inspiration of just flying the shizzle out of a bobcat flight after flight after flight - now I gotta start workin' on some of those moves! Ilogged my 40th flight on her today after just a few weeks and it just gets better every flight. Iwould recommend this combo for ANYONEjust starting out or for an EXPERTfor an everyday sweet flyer.</p>

Bob-o, those words are too nice - it flies itself. The quality of the equipment is just incredible. You can feel the engineering expertisethrough the sticks. Kool Aid completely consumed!
How did things go at Bomber? We had a wicked storm blow in really quick just before sundown up here.

Not blistering but fast enough for me..... Iwould guess 180 or so flat and level. A friend radared my passes and it wasn't straight-on about 15-20 degree angle and the passes were about 3/4 throttle at 140. If you want speed, go with a Rhino or 160 - you'll just pay for it in flight time. Timer set for 7 min now. Couldn't be happier!

Sounds about right - how much fuel are you guys carrying? Ihave the two wing tanks and a 16oz vertical tank in the middle so about 84oz.

I got the saddles and a 32 ounce dubro, so about 100 ounces onboard, and I have the BVM center tank which is another 40.
When I run the center tank as fuel I fly about 10 to 12 minutes, when I run the center tank as smoke, I run about 7 minutes.
Found my first weakness on the Bobcat. Have been chasing a roll problem (fairly hard left roll with G) for ever, I finally pinned the LE of the port wing and it is like a new plane

Mine Is BVM recommended equipment all around with the Kevlar round 28oz in center and UAT, with an AMT Mercury I run pretty much full throttle and start 6 minute timer at takeoff roll out. Land with atleast 14oz in center plus header.
Mine equipped with an Eagle tree and straight level air speeds register 180mph in summer 185-188mph in fall. Verticals drop to 100MPH around 400'. The rabbit sounds like a nice combo and should be better performance numbers easily.
I've seen Patrick Frosts BC with a monster in back and it was too fast and ran out of eyesight quickly given its small size for visual. In my opinion, the only room to improve a BC/Rabbit combo would be to go LITE and get better power to weight combo for verticals. Lipos, wires cut to size, micro servos for valves, liter servos, velcro/carbon substites for plywood mounting parts, maybe even Lectra undercarriage, (uncle bob told me a pound lighter??) titanium screw use, just a few items off top my head.
Photo looks awesome, I know the feeling..............
