Anyone else get caught out like this in their early jet days?
Boy, am I in trouble! Just a bit of engine testing.

I am sure I read in one of the topics here that Sandor did some trials with blue smoke dye in the the garden, he indicated that it was better not to try this at home.
"and yes the color is fantastic..
so was the blue shade on my house , car , lorry everywhere"

That shot was taken just before first (and last) garden fire up.
Perhaps I should have started it up on the cradle and just set fire to the fence, I'd have been in less trouble!
Like the green paint idea, may give that a try!

Hi Martin, I wish I was.
I've booked in to the Nats so will park the Sprint up after three more flights last night.
Even if I could make it it's too late for me to book in at this late hour.
Next season should be a bit different, I hope to have at least two scale models ready as I have all but lost interest in props, the Sprint now has 54 flights on it's log so I'm almost a qualified jetjockey now!
Will probably go to Hucknall though, is there anything else coming up the year? Have an F16 almost ready as well as the Hawk.

Hmmmmm, Nobody would say jack to me about it because if they did the first words out of my mouth would be "did you plant this grass, water it, mow it, or take care of it in any way?" and that would be the end of that conversation.
But thats just me....

Major Hawk pilot error! ???
I was expecting a huge crash, you tease.
Don't worry about the lawn, the winter moss will soon exploit that niche.
Tell the Mrs it's "fire" ants nests.

Personally I always run my engines on the drive to avoid such problems. It does give passers by a bit of a shock some times. Small cars have been known to veer off the road, horse bolted etc. But the upside is a perfect lawn.
On an entirely different subject, does any one know of a good discrete car refinisher in the area?

No kidding. Approx 1oz green food color to 1gal water in a pump sprayer. You can color match with a little blue or yellow added. Golf courses do it out here to cover small bad spots while waiting for them to green-up.</p>
