Bigbri. GOOD news......... Flyeagle jets is having a Christmas sale and one of the sale items is an A-10. but if you act now, when you purchase the jet from FEJ, you get a months worth of free limo service from your home to the Jet aholics meetings, which by the way is being moved,
Meetings are being moved to our favorite grass field here in PA, this way we would have a bigger attendance at the meetings, meetings will start at 11 am on Sunday mornings and should last about an hour.

I had truly beleived I had thrown my addiction. I sold up 2 years plus, my beautiful kit Wren was sold, my electronics and the lot but I kept the nearly complete Facet kit and the BVM T33 to show I had beaten this addiction.........
I thought not of aircraft, jets, kerosene, servo's, I had empty days, struggling to put some meaning in to their fulfillment.
Then after junior went off to university and I no longer carted him to the rugby matches day in day out weekend long, I had time, empty, unfulfilling time, to do some diy got the tip (sorry recycling centre) cutting grass and cleaning cars....
I said to junior that I had lots of time on my hands and he said go get a model aircraft.........[:@]
From that moment on the yearning, and desire took hold, every moment, how to do rivets, how to re do the bits of hte kits that are not right, I snuck out to the garage and held jet components in my hand, wept at my weakness and desire over my now sold Wren.....[X(]
I don't know how it happened but a DSX9 arrived and so did parts to build a helicopter, the slow way back in, my credit card that had near emptied started totting up. My hits on Ebay, BMFA and other buying site have shot up, I surf every day and go to bed thinking of how to do rivets and panel lines, and nealy smelling kerosene........
So I can say with proof and strength....... once a jet-A-holic, always a Jet - A- Holic........[:-]
I need a Wren on prescription........

I didn't know where to post this but, I figured there might be more out there with the same illness. So I wanted to share my story.
About 6 years ago I was diagnosed with rare glow fuel allergy. My doctor told me that if I wanted to continue flying I would have to get rid of all my glow stuff and get giant scale gasoline planes. I did and was flying giant warbirds. Everything was going great until I started feeling ill again. Nothing had changed except that I flew my first jet and got my waiver. I went back to the doctor and he said I now had become allergic to gasoline prop planes. So now I can only fly jets. I have been forced to sell my pride and joy my corsair..... so I can get more jets and get healthy again. He said I should be fine as a turbine allergy or sickness has never been diagnosed. He said I could live a full complete life with just flying jets.
I have to admit I have never been happier!
Hopefully my story will help others get help they need and live a happier life.

My name is Shaz, and I am a Jetaholic. It has been a while since I attended a meeting. Since then I have bought and sold more jets than my wife would need to know about in order to divorce me. I will update my jets and get a letter from my sponsor for the next meeting soon.
I dont have a problem, I do this by choice.

Shaz, who is officially my sponsor? George? Ryan? You?
All of the above?
At your suggestion I will attempt to temporarily hi-jack this thread too! [8D]
You are, at the very least, partially guilty of building and feeding my newly found kero addiction. Help me support it by letting me hi-jack your thread to shamelessly try to sell some of my boat, I mean prop stuff.
Wrong forum but anyone looking for a 50 or 100cc bird?
C-Arf Extra 330, DA-50.
AW Edge 540, BME 115.

Shaz you should be ashamed of your self, missing meetings denying everything and the worst of all, took a happy prop flyer and let him get a whiff of the kero, then sold him a jet that you bought. You have now caused JP to become a jetaholic, you are the worst.

That once happy prop flyer with an occasional heli flight has jumped in with both feet! Not only is he is thoroughly enjoying attending the jetaholic meetings with you boys....I believe the"whiff " in which you speak ofGeorge has now caused theair freshener at home that once smelled of warm vanilla, to be replaced with the scent of kerosene throughout the house!!! Way to go guys, luckily the 3 girls at home are loving it just as much!

most enjoyable reading, this thread has been......unfortunately, I can't really offer much empathy since I don't understand the scope of the problem.. You see, for what ever reason, this disease, or involuntary dependancy on model jets has not affected me... For example, I have sold 2 jets in the last few months....no emotional attachtment, no last looks over the shoulder as the new owner drives happily off....nothing!.... You see I just needed the shop space for the two new CArfs that were on the way.... even though there are 3 NIB kits already sitting there, that doesn't mea.............................................Uh Oh.....Say, buddy, is anyone sitting in that chair?
