RE: Sterner - DH 100 VAMPIRE buildingThread
Thanks Kerry,
I knew you were extremely busy, so wise decision halting things until you can get it sorted. I think people understand when they get told that what they want is unavailable due to whatever reason, but when they get told what they want to hear (as in you can have that now or very soon) and it falls through they get disappointed.
What has happened here with you is just like Darrell from Sierra. You both produce excellent products that are very sort after and specialised. Sierra pops up on RCU every now and then for the same reason. Darrell tells people their gear will be ready by x date (not too far in the future) and due to work load (read popularity of product) falls behind and dates get stretched out, but he still says it will be ready soon, so people keep expecting and then end up getting frustrated. It's human nature to want to please people (for most of us anyway...) so I understand telling customers it won't be long to make them happy because that is what you want and expect to happen, just other stuff ends up getting in the way.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Dave Goodes

Hi Scott,
On my 1/5 and 1/6 scale Vampires I just placed the turbine as far forward as possible for CG reasons, and took the available opening of the rear fuselage as the outside diameter of the tube.
Picture showing the P-160 in the 1/4 scale.
