So your Unprovoked rant on the SVJ thread was out of your concern for safety? Call me crazy, but I don't see it. Sounds like spin.
I agree with Tony! Justin should have just said Sorry for being a complete jerk and left it at that! To throw the whole passion for the hobby and wanting a safer group of jet pilots has nothing to do with a apology!!!! for all the nasty statments made. I say someone is making Justin apologize and this is his pathedic attempt.

Thanks Raf I knew you would like that. I think Justin Sands and Mr. Paul Bagman have both been infected.

"Jackassitis"

October 2009

A potentially dangerous affliction.

Definition: You feel that you must beat down the other pilots and planes that proceeded you so that you receive more applause and adulation from the other cronies within the company. Therefore you make comments like "Bla bla bla quack quack quack"

Discussion: Some company reps are often as guilty as those who want to become reps. The other modelers that you are trying to impress have no idea that they are being exposed to a possible disaster. They are ignorant of the absolute arrogance of the individual and what could happen if a mental or ego failure occurs. They brought their kids to be entertained, not unknowingly threatened.

Disaster happens occasionally in smaller Chinese companies even though airframe proficiency and company integrity are not closely regulated. As such, eventually these smaller companies are partnered up with the bigger ones because those bigger companies realize they do not hold the market share anymore and just bad mouthing is not working as well anymore. During the past several years, there have been multiple confrontations involving reps and companies that suffered at the hands of people afflicted with "Jackassitis". So far, we have been fortunate. Common sense and responsibility should dictate that a rep practice his speech in the absence of spectators. Equipping the rep with reduced cost models will give the pilot further reason to bad mouth competition and insult those who don't want to fly the overpriced models.

Unfortunately, those suffering from "Jackassitis" feel they have no limits and pose a risk to the hobby and innocent modelers enjoying it. You will find name calling, insults, and racial slurs common practice for those suffering from this condition. What they forget is that even spectators will recognize "Jackassitis" and those that were considering purchasing from this rep's company will be turned away.

We have been lucky so far, but it would be folly to keep depending on just luck. If professionalism were to only be practiced, it would be recognized and appreciated. Unfortunately, "Jackassitis" can be acquired by anyone with an ego, but is particularly dangerous to those who drink to much of a specific color cool aid.

If this original post is legitimate, I would hope that Justin Sands is booted by BVM and Team JR/Horizon.

Even masked racial slurs like "wiggers" on Black Entertainment Television have no place in our hobby, this message board or civilized society. I'd hope this thread and the original post are deleted and I'd hope that Justin is suspended from posting here.

Well, this guy got the point. Welcome airmar72.

EZ on makin' big statements about BVM airplanes. They are quite nice and fly INCREDIBLY. And Yes, they are expensive and very much worth it, in my opinion.

No problem I just wanted to show you the post in it's original state. No offense taken, and I agree with you. If you are going to post things like this in a public place You should not be reping anything!

Sounds like some people just need to grow some thick skin. He shouldn't be punished, he has his right to say anything he wishes in this country, as does everyone else. Every individual has the opportunity to take the "bait" and look childish by barking back, or you can just brush it off like it never happened.... It's whatever.</p>

HAHAHAHA, you are obviously not a business owner. Question, if this person was running around and representing you as a person or a company would you be ok with this? I think not. I guarantee you that BVM has lost some business from this. If it were my company this person would be dropped like a bad habit!!

OK GUYS ENOUGH. HE HAS SAID HE IS SORRY.

PLEASE DO NOT REPOST HIS ORIGINAL STATEMENT ANYWHERE ON RCU.

I am closing this one as it has served the purpose of the original poster.

Yes we are aware that some people are using a second account to make dodgy posts. This is against RCU rules.

Free speech carries with it responsibility and consequences. Justin Sands has the right to say anything. He doesn’t have the right to say anything HERE. He also must face the consequences that the offensive things he's said may cost him and his employers business.

Be Well,
Rich
