RE: BVM Bandit cloning in Brazil
I guess the MODS are in this thread now.
Just a few mins ago he had a post calling us stupid americans and many other negitive statements.
Funny how he copied us stupid americans because he could not make the thing himself. I wish RCU would have left that guys last post. Its totaly deleted like it didnt exist now.

RE: BVM Bandit cloning in Brazil
Hello...
I made the correction on the ad. I had chosen the wrong manufacturer.
I have more 30 years of building and manufacturer airmodels.
I thank the peoples of common sense.

RE: BVM Bandit cloning in Brazil
At least we got him to take off the misleading description about being a BVM jet.
But I still don't see it being worth $2,000 ... I think it's worth more like $500
Next, I wonder if he created his own instruction manual, or if he photo copied the BVM manual/instructions?
Anyone care to guess on that?
Anyone have an idea of what shipping from Brazil would be like? I'm guessing @ $300
I think he will have limited success selling his jets within Brazil ... nowhere else.
Come to think of it, I don't think too many Brazilians will be willing to come up with $2k. They would probably be thinking @ $500 too.

Oh, one more thing ... he is asking for a money order as the only method of payment. That is even more scary! ... A money order to Brazil?
I see the price is now lowered to $1,800.00 ... getting closer to the $500 mark, but still a long way to go. Even so, I wouldn't do it for $500 either.

For anyone who thinks it is ok... Spend hours behind a computer screen drawing an original design or a scale replica. Then spend the money/time machining/building a plug and then prep that plug with whatever detail or finish you are looking for. Then invest the time and money into making the molds form those plugs, then design the jigs and fixtures needed to install any interior structure. Then invest the money to have all that interior structure machined/cut out. Then take the time to actual build that first model and get it flying. Then refine that model through a few years worth of test flights, and possibly having to repeat the previous steps again, or twice, or three times.
Their is so much involved in making a kit from scratch that until you have done it you would not understand or believe the amount of disposable materials that get thrown away in the process of getting that ''First'' sell. It doesn't matter what person/company it is, stealing a Direct copy of a design by utilizing the original parts to make the tooling is just wrong.

Guess you didnt read my post about how it happened to me. so yes, I think I have a vested interest to say what I feel on here. It happens, not much you can do about it, get over it. This guy in Brazil will not be much more than a bug splat on BV's windshield. So why all the armchair crying foul over it. Nothing you or I say on this forum is going to change one thing about any of this So just do as I did. I changed my attitude about my design being copied and figured, hell, It must be that good for someone to copy it ...LOL.
At least I have the honor of owning the original tooling and model.
