Just got in the 400 series retracts for our Roo last night. Very beefy. Since we intend to do a lot of grass flying, we shouldn't be able to bend these.

I agree with both of the previous posts.
I have used BOTH sets and like them equally as well and ALL my flying is off grass.
I have S/A 400's w/1/2" Robo-Struts in my ARES design. It weighes in at 23# Dry/28.5# Wet. Not a single issue.
Based on a COST ONLY evaluation, go with the 400 S/A.
I would suggest that you check-in with Sonny at B&D Gear as well.
