Hi there,
I have a Frank TJ67 turbine and the thermocouple has failed........the original thermocouple has three wires going to it. Alternative thermocouples only have 2 wires so does anyone know if this will work with the 2 wire thermocouples? My ECU is a Projet Hornet with optical rpm pick up.
Hope someone can shed some light on this problem for me.
Cheers,
Nigel

why dont you measure the resistance between the cable?
i think one is for shielding only Green/white and?
your the guy who makes that wonderfull oven with the turbocharger on top?

the TC have a markings on it of the manufacturer
go the MFG web site get the TC data sheet- than u'll know the tolerance of the temp in which the TC works and what resistence should be at that time R/Tc
u can make a bench test for the TC by heating it up with an industrial heat-gun - 600c and measure the resisitenc
this way u make 100% sure if the TC is bad or not!

Mine has three wires coloures red/blk and white - like servo wires - I know the thermocouple is damaged as I bent the end of it too far!!!! and the temp readings are off the scale now. I was just wondering if a two wire would do the job and why the Frank thermocouple would have the extra wire?
"your the guy who makes that wonderfull oven with the turbocharger on top?" What do you mean by this?????? LOL
