Thanks for sharing the photo of your aircraft that you will be competing with. We will have many people here from all over the world and from the local area that will be cheering you and the other competitors on during the event. We will start have Radio commercials run this Sunday. Many newspaper ad's will also starting this Friday.
We want everyone to come and enjoy their stay in the Miami Valley area. Come and see the birthplace of aviation. July 27 will be the opening ceremonies for the JWM. This should be a very unique experience for any radio control event. I will not say what will make it unique because I don't want to spoil the excitement. I guess you should be here to see.
See you soon!!!

Things are looking good. The emails are going crazy and the cell phones are already pass the minutes for the month. We all have been working extremely hard on getting things prepared for the event. Crates has been coming in from China, Italy, Taiwan, etc.. Italy has sent the biggest crate ever. I'm not sure what is in , but I know I have slept in places with a much smaller area. The Museum staff has been doing so much work and I kinda just show up and watch David Thomas and his staff do their magic.
I am going to share a few pictures of the field layout. Today we had almost all of our tent put up. The large tent is for the JWM competitors to have their aircraft during the event. I'm not exactly sure on the size of the tent, but it is very large and very expensive. Our wonderful sponsors has made this possible. The row of 20 X 20 tents are for our vendor which are our sponsors of this years Jet World Masters. We have a 120 X 30 tent that is for the " OPEN JET FLYING" that will take place in the evenings after the competion is over. Remember, you don't have to be a JWM pilot to fly in the " OPEN JET FLYING". The Open Jet flying is for any jet pilots that want to come out and support our sponsors and our spectators. Open Jet flying is totally free to all.
One of the picture is the stage. This is for opening ceremonies of the event. Once that is over then it is moved to the runway for the judges to score the flights. Enjoy the pictures..

Here is a few more picture to share with you. The National Museum of the United States Air Force is setting up a display in the lobby of the museum for the JWM. This A-10 has been donated to the museum and is being used to promote this event. Today I sat and watched all the people come into the museum and I must say that almost every one of them were very interested in this model and the event. When I was getting this picture taken, their were at lease 20 people standing behind the camera waiting to take their turn with the aircraft. This event will be very positive for our community and our hobby. The National Museum of the United States Air Force has 1.3 million visitors a year. We figure about 5000- 5500 people visit daily during these two weeks.
Pay it forward......

My last post for the night. Like I posted in soooo many previous post about how special it is to have sponsors for this event. Without them we would not have any of this. So thank you sponsors for your help and support....... With that said I would like to announce our newest sponsor for the Jet World Masters. We have worked hard on every avenue to find support for this event. We have got a ton of "no thanks" from many companies, but we have also got a lot of "how can we help".. I must say it is a good feeling when you are able to have a CEO sit down with you and listen to what you have to say..
Today Rieck Services has stepped up big to support the 2011 Jet World Masters. Rieck Services is a large local Dayton mechanical company. I thank Rieck Services and all of our other sponsors for supporting this international event.

Our Daily update for everyone...
The Team from China showed up at the museum this morning.. For what I heard, they were all very excited because they didn't realize how large this museum is. The back field is almost complete with all the tents. We have the large 200 X 100 JWM competitors tent all put up and ready for aircraft to be place inside. The 80 X 40 air conditioned tent will be used for registration, static judging, and also for the canteen. I have a feeling that we may spend a lot of time in this location because of the heat wave we are experiencing.
The 120 X 30 Open Jet flying tent is up on the eastern part of the event. This tent will be used by anyone that wants to participate in the Open Jet Flying.
We have 2 RV trailers for our score keeper and judges.
Vendor row is a area for our sponsors to show their product to everyone. All spectators will be directed pass all the vendors.
All the safety fence will be going up tomorrow.

Dewey,
The setup looks great! Don't you just love it when a plan comes together! That air conditioned tent looks pretty inviting; a BIG THANK YOU to the museum and all the sponsors. See you tomorrow.
Jim
P.S.: Has it been decided where the 2013 JWM will be?

Hello Everyone
Sorry for the delay on the update. I am tired and I fell asleep. So here we go. The safety fence is almost complete for the entire event. David Thomas from the National Museum of the United States Air Force and his staff has worked extremely hard to help Roger and myself with this event. Roger and Crew will be coming to the site today ( friday and Saturday) to prep for all the competitors and visitors. Once Roger gets here we will hit the ground running to make sure everyone is welcomed.
The 4G WI-FI is set up and ready for our media outlets to post information to the world that did not make it to the event. The large 200X 100 tent is all ready for the event.
The weather is very nice and the runway is just perfect for such a event. The 7000 X 150 runway is newly paved and it is waiting for the airplanes to do their thing.
Like I mentioned on almost every post.. Thanks to the sponsors for making this happen. We can not express how greatful we are to have each and everyone of you as a sponsor..
Oh I almost forgot to mention.... The Canadians will like this sponsor... Thanks to Tim Hortons!!!! We will have Tim Hortons Coffee each and everyday for free. It will be until we run out for the day so come early to get your cup. Our Local Tim Hortons is great!!!
See you all soon

I have to get Tim Hortons logo up on here so everyone will know what to look forward to.
Roger I forgot to mention.. You are correct about the mower. I showed up to see that David and crew had a 1992 Lawn Boy 20" push mower out there.. They were push mowing all the areas of the tent locations. Passion.. We all have passion and the muesum is right there with us all.
Pay it forward

Sometimes remaining neutral isn't good.

Roger,
What entrance will people be using to get onto the grounds? Will I be able to park my vehicle near the event tents, or will we be required to park in Museum Parking?

You can enter into the event from the main entrance gate from Springfield St, or you can also use the Spinning RD gate, which is off of Colonel Glenn Highway. If you come from the main museum entrance just follow the signs to the back field. We will have large signs pointing you in the right direction so you will not get lost. I will post a picture of the signs tomorrow.
Here is a couple photo's from today. Here is the faces that put these grounds together for us. We can not say enough thank yous to even come close to their hard work and dedication.
