Default Flaps in Bobcat XL

Hello friends:

I have a little problem in my own bobcat XL, I made the wings like the bobcat composite, with flaps. And when I put flaps the plane go down. WHY ??? is normal ??? is necesary aply too much elevator mixed ???

The plane go down with the take-off position, in the landing position is really too much and is very dificult the landing.

Anybody had this problen any time ???

Many thanks in advance for yor help.

Carlos.

olla
many guys here in israel had/have the bobcat
i my self have the fly-king 120

when u set flaps you should set some UP ELEV as well!!!!
3-5 dergee and from flight to flight you modify as you need.

i think that because the wing is sweep backwards, the falp factor can do soem problems...

start with 10% flap and add more % from flight to flight untill you find the correct % u need
again , you do need to add some UP ELEV!!!

hope this helps

send video so we can all see

enjoy

Yes this is normal. If you are using a JR radio, go to code 66 and set elevator in the takeoff and landing positions. It may take a couple of flights to get the correct amount of elevator throws.

Hello again:

Yes, I think the same, but however I need fly too with a few trim of elevator up withow flaps. And the CG is more back that in the plans of BVM.

I need make a small repair in the landing gears because the hit over the asphalt was really very strong in the second fly, the last Saturday.

I put the 3 videos of the maiden, sorry for the bad quality of fly video.

Also 1/2" of crow (up aileron) helps offset the pitch down and will require less elevator mixing while slowing and stabilizing the airplane in approach and landing mode

Just watched the video...... you have to slow down WAY MORE buddy to land. The flap and the crow will help - that was way too hot!
