Sorry in advance Guy's I know this a jet forum, but I went to a fly-in this weekend and I swear I saw a Kangaroo (about 60 size)
with a large 4-stroke pusher engine on it. I never could hook up with the pilot, to ask for sure was that a kangaroo.
Is there such a thing????

From memory the kangaroo was designed as an intro turbine plane but i see no reason it couldn't be converted to a pusher.
pics here http://www.rcsuperstore.com/products...s/kangaroo.htm
and yep there is a 61-91 glow mod available

Kevin,
You and I met earlier this spring when you came out to the north field with your little boy one Saturday morning.
But what I saw at Magic Valley was around as 60 size delta wing plane with twin tails, but had a large inverted four stroke on it.
It was up toward the west end of the sun shelters on a stand.
It really intigued me!!

Hooter,
No, that wasn't a Kangaroo...Actually it was a scratch-built mini BobCat clone that the guy designed for use with a pusher prop. He had an OS 65 ducted fan engine on it with a pusher prop. It did not fly due to the zero positive incidence ground stance that it had. (The plane would not rotate) I gave him a few pointers to help him get it in the air and on ground handling. This guy built all of his own molds and completely "scratch built" it from the ground up. The BobCat was his inspiration for his model but it definately was NOT a knock-off. It had the BobCat design but with his own styling thrown in. I, too, would have liked to see it fly!!! How did you like the jet action we had there??? As we proved, you don't need a long strip to fly jets. That 400X40 asphalt strip was adequate!!!
Back to the Roo...You can order a complete composite/prepainted Roo from Don Kanak at Planes Plus. I have a Rookie coming from him that I expect any day. As others have said, you can put a four stroke on the Roo. The Roo is much larger than the "Mini BobCat" that the guy had at the fly-in. The Roo is similar in size to the HotSpots that Ed, Dewitt, and I had there.
Check out the Roo at: www.planesplus.com
I would call Don and find out the latest pricing.

Thanks for the info Kevin!!!
I know you have jet fuel running in your veins now , but you need to come out and fly with us at WTRC.
There is nothing like the smell of nitro in the morning!!!
Thanks again
