Default Two receivers or one?

I've just taken delivery of a Hot Spot that's built but not flown. I'm going to make a few changes to the radio installation, but one thing I'm tempted to do is put 2 receivers in it instead of the one that's already there. I've run out of channels as it is, so I figure 2 receivers will give me better protection and I'll still have 2 batteries. Has anyone here faced this dilema and if so, what did you decide was the best option?

Thanks,
Dominic
