True,

Everything is relative. If you scale up the speed to the real thing, it's roughly twice the performance at sea level. For some, that's slow. For me, that's NUTTY fast....especially on a $200 propulsion system.

I got a couple of Turnigy 6S 40C packs for $75 each. I did a full-throttle test and got 4 minutes before the RPM's started to drop. The pack was barely warm. [8D]

TG!! My results showed almost the same speed between the two, so I'm glad you confirmed that! I was surprised by the F-4 performance and I think its a great package.
I've not bothered checking the speeds as its fast enough, I have two CARF Spark's and have just sold an Electra, I used if I wanted to go fast...way more cost and only a little more fun!

I think the 80mm fan is great, especially at the low low price point. Everyone involved with this project should be proud.

Yep,

LOVING flying this bird. No trim change at all with flaps and she comes in just like the big ones!

Tam,

Are there any mods for strength to your F-4 or is it stock (other than what you had to do to make the pipe fit)? How much flap are you using?

Beside move the elevator servo to the rear for the pipe.
